Position Summary:This position is a Student Assistant C Labor Pool at the University of Alaska Anchorage in Enrollment Services.
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) invites applications for the position of Student Assistant within Enrollment Services.
UAA’s Enrollment Services provide students, visitors, faculty and staff with one-stop quality customer service by sharing accurate information and knowledge in the broad areas of admissions, registration, student financial assistance, including residency, and other processes administrated within Enrollment Services. In addition, acquaint students with the many academic programs offerings, information regarding the University’s Resident Tuition Assessment policy, as well as general services available to them at UAA. The positions primary role is to enhance customer service and assist with problem solution and process document imaging input.
We are looking for motivated team oriented individuals who combine outstanding customer service and organizational skills and the ability to learn, understand and relay complex policy and process to current and future UAA students.
Successful pool applicants must demonstrate ability to complete projects by the assigned deadline; work independently and as part of the team; customer service skills; maintain confidentiality; good verbal and written communication skills. Applicant must have experience in general office procedures, data entry, and be comfortable with MS Office Suite, databases, imaging software. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is essential.
To be eligible for student employment an applicant must:
A. Submit letter of interest (cover letter), resume and 3 references, including phone numbers for each.
B. Be enrolled in the UAA system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester for which you are applying.
C. Have at least a 2.0 (GPA).
D. Students enrolled in non-traditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment with the approval of the senior student service officer within the university.
Typical Education or Training:
Computer skills and data entry experience.
